Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to the activities with Canoe Tamar
Canoe Tamar is a trading name for Dartmoor Outdoor Company Ltd whose registered office is at Old Solomon’s Farm Latchley Cornwall PL18 9AX and whose registered company number is 05583971.
Canoe Tamar reserves the right to make alterations to the timings of trips .
Safety
Participation in the activities with Canoe Tamar entails some risk of injury and a risk of capsize. All staff employed by the company are trained and appropriately qualified to supervise activity sessions.
The Company will at all times seek to limit the risk of injury or death. However the Customer accepts that accidents and injuries can happen.
Customers need to accept that all individuals must be responsible for their own actions and safety and the safety of others on the activity. Both Company and Customer agree to take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of all concerned with the activity.
Customers will be given a safety briefing by an instructor prior to starting the activity. Customers are briefed to stay in sight of an instructor at all times and must do so.
The canoe trips with Canoe Tamar are located within a wild environment where there are natural hazards and risks, both on the ground and on the water. The Company has made every effort to manage those risks; however participants must take responsibility for their own actions particularly when getting in and out of the canoes.
Booking
Bookings are deemed to be accepted by Canoe tamar once Canoe Tamar has accepted the booking in writing, including email. Booking cannot be made without accepting these terms and conditions.
Full payment shall be made at the point of booking
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they have booked the correct time for each canoe trip and that they arrive with sufficient time and at the correct location.
Cancellations by the Customer
A full refund will be given when Customers cancel their booking 48 hours in advance of the start time of the booked trip. Cancellations must be made by email to info@canoetamar.co.uk or by phone to 01822 833409.
Cancellations by the Company
Whilst every attempt is made to ensure that the activities are available, the Company will notify the Customer of cancellation as soon as practicable where it believes on reasonable grounds that cancellation is necessary due to dangerous and/or unsuitable conditions for the activity.
Customers will be entitled to a full refund in the event of the Company cancelling the activity, but will not be entitled to any compensation.
Liability
Vehicles are parked and left at the risk of the vehicle owner including any payment due in respect of the parking.
The Company does not accept any responsibility for the loss or damage to any property belonging to Customers whilst on site or participating in the activities.
